Andrew Joshua Matson was born at 1:26 pm on January 30th, and went to be with Jesus at around 5:30 pm on March 3rd. He spent his time here on earth living in the NICU at Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Jennifer has been giving daily updates, and we wanted to make them available to our friends and family. We were blessed to be Andrew's parents for 33 days. While we will always miss him and love him, we know that he is in a much better place where he will never again feel pain or discomfort. We thank God for blessing us with the time we had with Andrew. -Josh and Jennifer

Thursday, February 15th

Weight: 2 lbs 3.5 ounces (1010 g)

Andrew did okay today. His ventilator got turned down to 45 breaths per minute. He was at about 60% oxygen when we left. He was a little upset from his assessment at 8 but he had calmed down pretty well by 9. The nurse tried to weigh him at 8 but he showed a 6 ounce gain and she said that couldn't be right, so she will re-weigh him at midnight. He went up to 16 cc's on his feeds today and he is still digesting them okay, but spitting up a lot too. This increase in milk is enough to get him off the TPN. He had a few spells today but not as many as yesterday.
