Andrew Joshua Matson was born at 1:26 pm on January 30th, and went to be with Jesus at around 5:30 pm on March 3rd. He spent his time here on earth living in the NICU at Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Jennifer has been giving daily updates, and we wanted to make them available to our friends and family. We were blessed to be Andrew's parents for 33 days. While we will always miss him and love him, we know that he is in a much better place where he will never again feel pain or discomfort. We thank God for blessing us with the time we had with Andrew. -Josh and Jennifer

Friday, February 16th

Weight: 2 lbs 4 ounces (1023 g)

Andrew made a little bit of progress today. He got his ventilator turned down to 43 breaths per minute, but he was still on about 65% oxygen when we left tonight. His feeds were increased to 18 cc’s and he might get his IV out tomorrow. He also got the HMF added to his milk for some extra calories. Last night when the nurse weighed him she said it wasn’t correct since the scale showed too big of a gain. But she weighed him again 3 hours later, and it still showed the same gain, so that was good news. God is bigger. :)

Two babies across the aisle from him went to the step-down unit and new ones came in to take their place. They won’t be there long though, both were full term and look so big.
