FINALLY...Andrew has a good day!!!!
His ventilator is still on 60, but they keep turning his O2 down because his sats are so high. He started the day on 90% oxygen and he was being turned down to 65% as I left. They are adding 1/2 tsp. of rice cereal to his feedings to help him keep them down and so far that is helping some.
Since he is so much more comfortable laying on his left side, the doctor said there is no reason why they can't just let him remain on that side. They are periodically checking for bed sores, but so far he is doing well. As a result, he has only had 2 spells all day long, which is a drastic improvement over the 100 or so he was having each day before.
His EEG from yesterday came back. Josh and I were kind of thinking that if it showed he was braindead, then it would be hard to keep him going on life support for what seemed like no reason. However, the EEG came back completely normal. In fact, it was better than his first EEG, which showed indication of seizures, because this one showed no seizure activity.
This doctor also said she thinks he needs more time before we consider taking him off the vent, which is right in line with my thinking. I am not ready to do that and I'm not convinced that he can't get better. This small improvement today just verified that for me, so onward we go. Pray for God to heal his lungs and his spine, the two things most iminent to his survival at this point.

Hi from ERIN'S g'ma....on the 23rd during my Bible Study God so impressed upon me to pray for Andrew...according to Matt. 21:21-22;& Ephesians 1:18-20....I firmly believe God is going to heal him...and will continue to pray to that end. Praise God that Andrews EEG came back normal. I am Larisa's friend she has been sharing with me your email's and updates. My husband and I have been praying daily for God to perform wonderful healings in Andrew. He is a fighter and he will continue to fight. Just keep the faith and all will be well. That is what we are praying. We will continue to pray for healing in his Spine and Lungs. God Bless.
